From the center of Assomada, head north on Avenida 25 de Setembro towards Rua da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach the main intersection, then turn left onto Rua da Liberdade. Walk straight until you reach the bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Assomada). From there, you can catch a local minibus heading to Cidade Velha. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when to get off at the Pelourinho stop. Once you arrive in Cidade Velha, the Pelourinho is a short walk from the bus stop; just follow the signs towards the National Highway.
