Walking
Start at the central square of Assomada, Praça de Assomada. From the square, head south towards the main road, Avenida dos Pioneiros. Once you reach Avenida dos Pioneiros, turn left and walk along the road until you reach the bus terminal. At the terminal, look for a bus heading to Praia. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Praia, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the Lighthouse Dona Maria Pia. If walking, head east on Avenida 5 de Julho, then turn right onto Rua de Cabo Verde. Continue straight until you reach the lighthouse, which will be located on your right. The total distance from the bus stop to the lighthouse is about 2 km.
Public Transport (Bus)
Begin at Praça de Assomada, where you can find the local bus terminal. Look for a bus that is heading towards Praia. Make sure to ask the bus driver if they stop near the lighthouse or the main area of Praia. After about 30-40 minutes of travel, you will arrive in Praia. Once you get off at the main bus terminal in Praia, find a taxi or a local bus that can take you closer to the lighthouse. If you choose to walk, head east on Avenida 5 de Julho, and then take a right on Rua de Cabo Verde. The lighthouse should be approximately 2 km from the bus terminal.
