Getting There

• Walking

  From the entrance of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, exit the building and head left towards Cannery Row. Walk along the scenic Cannery Row pathway, enjoying the ocean views. Continue along Cannery Row for about 0.4 miles (approximately 10 minutes). As you walk, keep an eye out for the local shops and eateries. You will know you are getting close when you see the address 886 Cannery Row on your left. Monterey Bay Sight Point is located just past the Cannery Row shops, and you can enjoy a beautiful vantage point of the bay from there.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer to bike, there are several bike rental shops near the aquarium. Rent a bike from one of the nearby locations such as Monterey Bike Tours. After renting your bike, exit the aquarium and head left towards Cannery Row. Bike along the same path as mentioned before. This option provides a quicker route, taking about 5 minutes to reach Monterey Bay Sight Point, located at 886 Cannery Row. Be cautious of pedestrians as you ride along the busy waterfront.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  For those interested in public transportation, you can take the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) bus. From the aquarium, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Del Monte Avenue. Board the MST bus route 1 towards Pacific Grove. After a short 5-minute ride, get off at the Cannery Row stop. From there, walk back toward 886 Cannery Row, which is only a few steps away. Note that bus fares may incur a small cost, typically around $2 per ride.
