The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park is located off Aptos Creek Road, about 4 miles north of Aptos. From Highway 1, exit at State Park Drive and turn left. Turn right onto Soquel Drive, then left onto Aptos Creek Road. Follow Aptos Creek Road into the park. Continue on the dirt road to the entrance station, where you'll pay the $8 day-use fee. Continue driving to the Porter Family Picnic Area for many trailheads.

To reach The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park using public transport, take the Santa Cruz Metro Line 1 bus to the intersection of Soquel Drive and State Park Drive in Aptos. From there, transfer to a taxi or rideshare service for the approximately 4-mile drive up Aptos Creek Road into the park. A taxi from this intersection to the park entrance will cost approximately $17-$20. The Line 1 bus runs every 30 minutes and costs $2-$7.
