From downtown Walnut Creek, walk to the Walnut Creek BART station, located at 200 Ygnacio Valley Rd. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Embarcadero station. From there, transfer to the Golden Gate Transit bus number 30 towards Sausalito. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Bunker Road & Marine Mammal Center' stop. The Marine Mammal Center is a short walk from the bus stop, located at 2000 Bunker Rd.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Walnut Creek. Start by heading west on Ygnacio Valley Rd towards the Iron Horse Trail. Follow the Iron Horse Trail north until you reach the end of the trail. Then, take the road towards the north following the signs to Sausalito. The total cycling distance is about 12 miles and should take around 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Once you arrive in Sausalito, follow the signs to Bunker Rd, where The Marine Mammal Center is located.
