Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From San Francisco, take the Golden Gate Transit Bus Route 130 to Sausalito. The bus ride takes approximately 27-29 minutes and costs $5-$8. Get off at Bridgeway & Ensign Street and walk north along Bridgeway. Turn left onto Gate 5 Road, and Waldo Point Harbor will be on your right. Alternatively, take the Golden Gate Ferry from San Francisco to Sausalito. From the Sausalito Ferry Terminal, you can walk to Waldo Point Harbor, or take Marin Transit Route 17 to the intersection of Bridgeway and Gate 5 Road. A one-way ferry ticket costs $14.00 for adults.

  • Walking

    From the Sausalito Ferry Terminal, walk north along Bridgeway. Turn left onto Gate 5 Road, and Waldo Point Harbor will be on your right. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and takes about 30 minutes. Be aware that the street has no sidewalks in some stretches. No cost for walking.

  • Driving

    From San Francisco, cross the Golden Gate Bridge and take Highway 101 North. Take the Sausalito exit and follow Bridgeway into Sausalito. Turn left onto Gate 5 Road. Waldo Point Harbor will be on your right. Parking is available in the Waldo Point Harbor lot, but guest parking may be limited. Contact the harbor office for guest parking permits. Expect to pay around $1-$3 for tolls.
