Getting There

  • Driving

    If driving, follow signs for Yosemite Valley and then Yosemite Village. Parking is available in Yosemite Village, a short walk from the Welcome Center. Arrive before 9 am during peak season as parking fills quickly. Note that a $35 entrance fee per vehicle is required to enter Yosemite National Park, valid for seven consecutive days. During peak season (May 24-26, June 15-August 15, August 30-September 1), a reservation may be required to enter the park between 6 AM and 2 PM, in addition to the entrance fee; the reservation fee is $2.

  • Public Transport

    Take the Yosemite Valley Shuttle to the Yosemite Village stop (Shuttle Stops 1 & 2), which is located near the Welcome Center. The Yosemite Valley Shuttle is free and operates from 7 am to 10 pm, with buses arriving every 12 to 22 minutes. Alternatively, YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System) provides fee-based bus service into Yosemite National Park from nearby communities. YARTS riders do not need additional peak-hours reservations for Yosemite during the summer months.
