Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Bay Bulls from your location in the Avalon Peninsula. Use the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 1) and follow it until you reach the exit for Route 10 (the Southern Shore Highway). Continue on Route 10 until you reach Bay Bulls. Once in Bay Bulls, turn onto Northside Road. Gatherall's Puffin & Whale Watch is located at 90 Northside Rd, Bay Bulls, NL A0A 1C0. Look for the signage indicating the entrance.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from St. John's to Bay Bulls. Metrobus provides service to Bay Bulls. Once you arrive at the Bay Bulls bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km (about 18 minutes) to reach Gatherall's Puffin & Whale Watch. Head southeast on Main Street, then turn left onto Northside Road. The destination will be on your right at 90 Northside Rd.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or a rideshare service (like Uber, if available) from St. John's or any nearby town. This option provides the convenience of door-to-door service. The fare will vary depending on your starting point, but expect to pay approximately CAD 40-60 from St. John's to Bay Bulls.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, biking to Gatherall's Puffin & Whale Watch can be a scenic experience. There are bike paths along parts of the Southern Shore Highway, but be cautious of traffic. Plan for a ride of about 20 km from St. John's to Bay Bulls, allowing ample time for breaks and enjoying the views. Once in Bay Bulls, ride along Northside Road until you reach 90 Northside Rd.
