Discover more about Clear Creek White Water Park

Clear Creek White Water Park, located in Golden, Colorado, is a dynamic and engaging space for water enthusiasts of all levels. Dedicated in 1998, the park transformed a section of Clear Creek into an 800-foot-long whitewater course, offering a blend of adventurous rapids and calmer pools. The park is divided into three distinct sections, each designed to cater to different skill levels. The top section features a series of drops and pools with fast eddies, ideal for those looking to hone their skills. The middle portion provides flat, broad surf waves interspersed with large boulders, creating an excellent area for practicing maneuvers. The bottom section offers more extreme surf and wave drops, providing a thrilling challenge for experienced paddlers. Clear Creek's path meanders from Loveland Pass through Golden, finally meeting the South Platte River. The park is conveniently located near downtown Golden, making it easily accessible to shops, restaurants, and other attractions. This integration with the city's commercial district enhances the park's appeal as a central hub of activity. The surrounding area includes amenities such as a baseball diamond, sand volleyball court, grassy park, and an outdoor calisthenics gym, offering something for everyone. While the park is unsupervised and requires participants to enter at their own risk, it's a popular spot for both recreational boaters and competitive events. The course has hosted international slalom races and professional kayaking events, drawing large crowds and boosting the local economy. The park's design also facilitates late-season, low-water use, ensuring that visitors can enjoy the creek even when other rivers are running low.
