Getting There

• Walking

  From downtown Salida, start at the intersection of West 1st Street and G Street. Head east on G Street until you reach the Arkansas River. Follow the riverwalk path south towards the Salida River Park. Continue on the path until you reach the end of the park, where you will need to cross the bridge to get to Riverside Park. After crossing, follow the road south that becomes US-50. Walk along US-50 for approximately 4 miles until you reach Historic Hutchinson Homestead at 8913 US-50.

• Bicycle

  Starting from the Salida Library, head east on W 3rd St, then take a left onto G Street. Ride south towards the Arkansas River and take the river path. Continue along the river trail until you reach Riverside Park. Cross the bridge and follow the road south on US-50. You will need to ride for about 4 miles to reach Historic Hutchinson Homestead, located at 8913 US-50.

• Public Transportation

  From the Salida Transit Center, take the bus route that heads towards Poncha Springs. You will need to get off at the stop closest to US-50 (check the latest schedule for exact stops). Once you disembark, you will have a short walk (approximately 0.5 miles) heading east on US-50 until you arrive at Historic Hutchinson Homestead at 8913 US-50.
