Public Transport
From Greenwich, take the Metro-North Railroad from the Greenwich Station towards Grand Central Terminal. You will need to get off at the Fordham Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Fordham Station, exit the station and head towards the Fordham Road. From there, you can catch the BX12 bus towards Co-op City. Get off at the 'Southern Blvd/E 183 St' stop. The Bronx Zoo will be a short walk from there, just follow the signs to the entrance.

If you are near the Greenwich Avenue, start walking north towards the Greenwich Train Station. Once you reach the station, follow the instructions for taking the Metro-North as detailed above. If you prefer a full walking experience, you can walk to the Bronx Zoo from Fordham Station, which is approximately a 25-minute walk. After exiting the station, head west on E 190th St, turn left on Southern Blvd, and continue until you reach the entrance of the Bronx Zoo.
