Train
From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich Metro-North Railroad Station located at 2 Railroad Ave. Take the New Haven Line train heading towards Grand Central. Get off at the 125th Street Station in Manhattan. Once you arrive at 125th Street, transfer to the 2 or 3 subway line heading downtown towards Brooklyn. Get off at the Chambers Street station. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the Brooklyn Bridge entrance.
Bus
Take the local CT Transit bus route 3, which departs from various points in Greenwich. Ride the bus to the Stamford Transportation Center. From Stamford, transfer to a Greyhound or Megabus service to New York City. Once you arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, take the A or C subway line downtown to Chambers Street. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the Brooklyn Bridge entrance.
Ferry
Head to the Greenwich waterfront and take the ferry to New York City. Check the schedule for the ferry service as it may vary. Once you arrive at the NYC ferry terminal, transfer to the subway system at Wall Street Station (2, 4, 5 lines) and take the 2 or 4 subway line to Chambers Street. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the Brooklyn Bridge entrance.
Bike
If you prefer biking, you can use a bike-sharing service available in Greenwich. Ride your bike towards the nearest Metro-North Railroad Station and take the train to New York City. Once you arrive in Manhattan, you can ride your bike to the Brooklyn Bridge. There are bike lanes that lead directly to the bridge entrance from various points in the city.
