Bus
From central Greenwich, walk to the nearest bus stop on Greenwich Avenue. Take the CT Transit Bus route 10 towards Stamford. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes until you reach the Stamford Transportation Center. Here, transfer to the Metro-North Railroad and take the train towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the Woodlawn station. From there, you can catch a Long Island Rail Road train to Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
Train
Head to the Greenwich Metro-North train station located at 2 Railroad Ave, Greenwich, CT 06830. Purchase a ticket for the New Haven Line towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 50 minutes, get off at the Grand Central Terminal station in New York City. From Grand Central, transfer to the 7 train at the 42nd Street-Bryant Park station, heading towards Flushing - Main Street. Disembark at the Mets-Willets Point station, which is the nearest station to Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, start from the center of Greenwich and head north on the Greenwich Ave. Follow the bike lanes until you reach the scenic Byram River Park. Continue along the river and follow the signs towards the Mianus River Park. Eventually, you will connect to the trail leading towards the New York border. Keep going until you reach the Flushing Meadows Corona Park area. This route is approximately 25 miles and will take about 2 hours, depending on your biking speed.
Walking
If you're up for a long walk, you can start from the Greenwich Town Hall located at 101 Field Point Rd, Greenwich, CT 06830. Head east on Field Point Rd towards the Greenwich Harbor. From there, follow the waterfront path, which will eventually take you through local neighborhoods and parks. It’s a scenic route but be prepared for a long trek of about 25 miles, which could take roughly 6-7 hours of walking. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water!
