Getting There

  • Public Transport

    Gleason's Gym is easily accessible by subway. Take the F train to the York Street station. Walk one block south towards the East River and turn left onto Front Street. Walk two blocks and turn south onto Adams Street. The gym is at the corner of Water Street. Alternatively, take the A or C trains to the High Street/Brooklyn Bridge station. Walk down the hill approximately three blocks towards the East River on Old Fulton Road. Walk under the underpass (the Brooklyn Bridge will be on your right) and make your first right onto Front Street. Walk three blocks down Front Street to Adams Street. The gym is at the corner of 130 Water Street. Another option is to take the 2 or 3 trains to the Clark Street station. Walk down Henry Street about 4 blocks. Make a left onto Old Fulton Road, walk under the underpass and make the first right onto Front Street. Walk three blocks down Front Street to Adams Street. The gym is at the corner. A single subway ride costs $2.75.

    From the Dumbo/Fulton Ferry landing, walk north on Old Fulton Street. Turn right onto Water Street and continue for one block. Gleason's Gym will be on your left at the corner of Water and Adams Street. Walking from Manhattan via the Brooklyn Bridge is a scenic option. Once you cross the bridge, take the first exit on the right, Cadman Plaza. Follow the exit down to the right and veer left towards the river. Go under the underpass and make your first right onto Front Street. Walk three blocks to Adams Street, turn south, and the gym is at the corner of 130 Water Street. Walking is free.
