Train
From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich Metro-North train station located at 2 Railroad Ave. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to New York City. Board an express train towards Grand Central Terminal. The journey will take approximately 50 minutes. Upon arrival at Grand Central Terminal, exit the station and follow the signs to 42nd Street. From there, you can either take the subway or a bus to reach 5th Avenue.

You can take the CT Transit bus #10 from Greenwich. Board the bus at the Greenwich Avenue stop. The bus will take you to the Stamford train station where you can connect to a Metro-North train to New York City. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, follow the signs to 42nd Street and transfer to a northbound subway line or take a bus to reach 5th Avenue.

If you are already in the central area of Greenwich, you can enjoy a leisurely walk to the bus or train station. Walk towards Greenwich Avenue and then head to 2 Railroad Ave to catch the Metro-North train. It will be a pleasant 15 to 20-minute walk. Once at the station, follow the earlier instructions for getting to New York City.
