Getting There

• Train

  Begin your journey at the Greenwich Metro-North train station. Purchase a ticket to Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule on the Metro-North website or at the station for the next departure. The ride takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, follow the signs to the 42nd Street exit.

• Subway

  From Grand Central Terminal, you can take the 7 train from the subway station located within the terminal. Board the train towards Flushing - Main Street and get off at the 5th Avenue stop (just one stop). When you exit the station, walk west towards 45th Street and turn left. Continue walking until you reach 405 E 45th St, where the United Nations Headquarters is located.

• Bus

  Alternatively, from Grand Central Terminal, you can catch the M42 bus at the terminal. Board the bus heading towards the east side and get off at the 1st Avenue stop. From there, walk west on 42nd Street and turn right onto 1st Avenue. Continue walking until you reach 405 E 45th St, the location of the United Nations Headquarters.

• Walking

  If you prefer to explore the area on foot after arriving at Grand Central Terminal, you can walk to the United Nations Headquarters. Exit the terminal and head west on 42nd Street towards 1st Avenue. Turn right on 1st Avenue and continue until you reach 45th Street. Turn left on 45th Street and walk to 405 E 45th St.
