Wollman Rink: A Winter Wonderland in Central Park

Getting There

• Train

  From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich Train Station located at 2 Railroad Ave, Greenwich, CT 06830. You can walk to the station in about 10 minutes from downtown Greenwich. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to New York City (Grand Central Terminal). The train ride will take approximately 50 minutes. Upon arriving at Grand Central Terminal, exit the train and follow the signs to the Metro-North Railroad exit.

• Subway

  After exiting Grand Central Terminal, walk to the subway station located within the terminal. Take the S (Shuttle) train from Grand Central to Times Square-42nd Street. From Times Square, transfer to the 1, 2, or 3 subway line and head downtown to 59th Street-Columbus Circle. Once you exit at 59th Street-Columbus Circle, head east on 59th Street until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn left (north) on 5th Avenue and continue walking until you arrive at Wollman Rink.

• Bus

  From Greenwich, you can take the CT Transit bus service from the Greenwich Train Station. Board the bus heading towards Stamford. In Stamford, transfer to a bus that takes you to New York City. Once in New York, you can take a local bus or subway to reach Central Park South and 5th Avenue. From there, walk north along 5th Avenue to find Wollman Rink.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider using a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride from Greenwich to Wollman Rink at 830 5th Ave, New York, NY 10065. The trip will vary depending on traffic but generally takes around 50 minutes.
