Walk
If you are starting from downtown Stamford, walk to the Stamford Train Station located at 1 Station Place. Once you reach the station, take the Metro-North Railroad train heading towards Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The journey will take approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, follow the signs to the subway. Take the 4, 5, 6, or 7 train towards 125th Street, and transfer to the A or C train towards 59th Street - Columbus Circle. Get off at the 125th Street station. From there, walk east on 125th Street until you reach Malcolm X Boulevard. Turn left onto Malcolm X Boulevard, and you will find the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at 515 Malcolm X Blvd.

Public Transportation
From downtown Stamford, head to the Stamford Train Station located at 1 Station Place. Purchase a ticket for the Metro-North Railroad train heading towards Grand Central Terminal in New York City. After a 50-minute ride, arrive at Grand Central Terminal. At Grand Central, navigate to the subway and board the A or C train towards 59th Street - Columbus Circle. Disembark at the 125th Street stop. Walk east on 125th Street and turn left onto Malcolm X Boulevard. Continue walking until you reach 515 Malcolm X Blvd, which is the Schomburg Center.
