If you are driving from any location within Fort Delaware State Park, exit the park and turn left onto Route 9 (also known as New Castle Avenue). Continue on Route 9 for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Merge onto Route 1 South, following the signs for Lewes. Stay on Route 1 South for about 20 miles. Take the exit for Cape Henlopen State Park (Exit 34). Follow the signs into the park. Once inside, follow the park roads, and you will find Fort Miles Historic Area located at 15099 Cape Henlopen State Park, Lewes, DE 19958.
