If you are driving, take Route 1 South towards Lewes. Once you reach the Lewes area, take the exit for Lewes Beach. Continue on Cape Henlopen Drive until you reach the intersection with Route 9. Turn left onto Route 9 and continue for approximately 1 mile. Turn right onto Shipcarpenter Street. The Lewes Historical Society Main Campus will be on your left at 110 Shipcarpenter St, Lewes, DE 19958. There is a $5.00 entry fee to visit the campus.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take the DART First State bus service. Routes 204 and 206 both have stops in Lewes. Board the bus at any convenient stop in the Delaware area heading towards Lewes. Once you arrive at the Lewes bus terminal, exit and walk towards Route 9. It is about a 15-minute walk to the Lewes Historical Society Main Campus. Head down Route 9 towards Shipcarpenter Street and turn right. The campus will be at 110 Shipcarpenter St. Please note that the bus fare will vary, so check the DART First State website for current prices.

For those who wish to cycle, there are bike-friendly routes from nearby towns. If you are starting in Rehoboth Beach, follow the Junction and Breakwater Trail towards Lewes. After about 5 miles, you will reach Lewes. As you enter the town, follow the signs to Shipcarpenter Street. The Lewes Historical Society Main Campus is located at 110 Shipcarpenter St. Be sure to wear a helmet and have a bike lock for security.
