Getting There

  • Car

    From the town of Neiba, head southwest on the Carretera Neiba-Pedernales (DR-44) for about 30 kilometers. Follow the signs for Jaragua National Park. The entrance to the park is well-marked and situated on the left side of the road. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the park's signs, as they will guide you directly to the entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    From Neiba, take a local bus or 'carro público' heading towards Pedernales. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Jaragua National Park. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive at the main road near the park entrance, a short walk will lead you to the entrance of Jaragua National Park, which is marked with clear signs.

  • Car

    If you are coming from Barahona, take the Carretera Barahona-Pedernales (DR-44) heading west. Continue on this road for about 50 kilometers until you see the signs for Jaragua National Park. The entrance will be on your right. Be attentive to the road signs indicating the National Park as they will guide you directly to your destination.

  • Public Transportation

    From Barahona, take a bus heading towards Neiba. Once you reach Neiba, transfer to a local bus or 'carro público' to Pedernales, and inform the driver that you wish to visit Jaragua National Park. After a brief journey, you will reach the main road, and a short walk will take you to the park entrance.
