Walking
Starting from the center of Runavík, head south on the main road, Áarvegur, towards the coast. Continue straight until you reach the intersection at the end of the road. At this point, turn left onto Bakkavegur. Follow Bakkavegur for about 12 kilometers (approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of walking) along the scenic coastline. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Mikladalur. As you approach Mikladalur, you will see the iconic statue of The Seal Woman (Kópakonan) located at 16 Bakkavegur, right by the sea. Enjoy the view and take some time to explore the area.

Bus
From Runavík, head to the nearest bus stop located on the main road. Check the bus schedule for the number 300, which runs towards Klaksvik and stops at Mikladalur. After boarding the bus, enjoy the scenic ride which lasts about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Mikladalur, disembark at the stop nearest to Bakkavegur. From there, walk towards the sea along Bakkavegur, and you will find The Seal Woman (Kópakonan) at 16 Bakkavegur.
