  • Car

    The Karhunkierros Trail Nature Center is located on Hautajärventie 414. From Salla, drive 41 km north on road 950. From Kuusamo, take road E63/5 north for 36 km, then turn right onto road 950 towards Salla and continue for 33 km before turning right again. Parking is available at the Nature Center for €10/day.

  • Bus

    The Karhunkierros Express shuttle connects Kuusamo Airport, Ruka, and Sallatunturi with Hautajärvi. Check the Matkahuolto website for schedules and book your ticket in advance, as shuttles only run with reservations. The bus stop is called 'Arctic Circle Hautajärvi'. A one way ticket from Kuusamo Airport to Ruka is approximately €16 for adults.

    Taxis are available from Kuusamo and Ruka. A taxi from Ruka to Hautajärvi costs approximately €95 and takes about 30 minutes.
