    From Kuopio city center, take bus number 76 towards Haminalahti. The bus departs from Linja-autoasema 3 (bus station). The ride to Haminalahti th L takes approximately 18 minutes. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the trail's starting point at Leirikuja 13. A single bus ticket costs approximately €4.75 when paying with contactless payment or the Vilkku app. Paying with cash costs €7.00.

Born and raised in Haminalahti, near Kuopio, the brothers found their artistic inspiration in the surrounding nature, which became the foundation for their art. This 3.1-kilometer trail winds through the very landscapes immortalized in their paintings, offering a unique blend of art, nature, and cultural history. As you walk the path, you'll encounter familiar vistas from their artwork, providing a tangible connection to the brothers' creative vision. The most famous view along the route is likely the one depicted in Ferdinand von Wright's 1853 painting, "View of Haminalahti," which was seen as a symbol of the Finnish landscape. The trail itself is marked with signs and poles featuring a wood grouse symbol, making it easy to follow. While the hike is relatively easy, some sections have height differences and stairs. The trail is best enjoyed when there is no snow or ice on the ground. Along the way, you'll find a lean-to for resting. The starting point has a parking area, toilet, info-board, and waste disposal site.
