Getting There

Walking
If you are in the center of Kuopio, start at the Kuopio Market Square (Kuopion tori). From the Market Square, head south on Kauppakatu street until it intersects with Kumpulantie. Turn left onto Kumpulantie and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by various shops and cafes. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Microkatu. Turn right onto Microkatu, and after about 200 meters, you will see Itä-Suomen yliopisto on your left at Microkatu 1.

Public Transport
From the Kuopio Market Square, walk to the nearest bus stop (Kuopio tori) and catch bus number 5 or 6 towards 'Saanijärvi' or 'Pielavesi.' The ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Yliopisto' stop. Once you exit the bus, head straight down Microkatu for around 200 meters, and you will see Itä-Suomen yliopisto on your left at Microkatu 1.
