From Ruka, head southwest on the E63 road (also known as the Ruka-Kuusamo road) towards Kuusamo. Continue on E63 for about 23 km until you reach a junction. Take the right exit onto Juumantie (Road 868). Follow Juumantie for approximately 10 km until you reach the Pieni Karhunkierros Circle Trail parking area on your left. The exact address is Juumantie 133, 93850 Kuusamo. Parking is free, but ensure you park in the designated areas.

From Ruka, take the local bus service towards Kuusamo. Check the local bus schedule for times, as they can vary. After about 30 minutes, disembark at the stop closest to Juumantie. You may need to walk approximately 1 km to reach the Pieni Karhunkierros Circle Trail. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the bus stop directly to the trailhead; the taxi fare may cost around 20-30 euros, depending on the distance.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Ruka. Head out towards Kuusamo on the E63 road. After about 23 km, turn onto Juumantie (Road 868) and continue for another 10 km until you reach the trail's parking area on your left. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic regulations.
