From the Annecy train station (Gare d'Annecy), exit the station and head southeast on Avenue du Parmelan. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Canal du Vassé. Cross the canal at the Pont des Amours, which offers scenic views of the lake. Once you cross, turn left and follow the lakeside promenade (Promenade du Thiou) that runs along Lake Annecy. This route is approximately 2 kilometers and takes about 25 minutes on foot.
