If you are driving from Chamonix-Mont Blanc, start by heading north on Rue du Dr. Paccard towards Avenue de la République. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Route Blanche/D1506, following signs for Montenvers. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will see signs for Montenvers - Mer de Glace. There is a parking area available near the Montenvers train station (note that parking may incur a fee).

Public Transportation (Train)
To reach Montenvers - Mer de Glace via public transportation, start at the Chamonix Mont-Blanc train station located in the center of Chamonix. From the train station, board the Montenvers train (the Train du Montenvers) which departs regularly. The train ride takes about 20 minutes and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. A round-trip ticket costs approximately €34 for adults and €27 for children. Upon arrival at the Montenvers station, you will be just a short walk from the Mer de Glace glacier.

For the more adventurous, you can hike to Montenvers - Mer de Glace. Starting from Chamonix, take the path that leads to the Montenvers train station.
