Getting There

  • Metro

    If you're starting from Syntagma Square, walk to the Syntagma Metro Station. Take Line 3 (the blue line) towards the end station, which is 'Nikaia'. Get off at the 'Monastiraki' station. From Monastiraki, transfer to Line 1 (the green line) towards 'Kifisia'. Travel one stop to 'Thissio' station. Exit the station and head towards the National Observatory of Athens, which is about a 10-minute walk from the Thissio Metro Station.

    From the Thissio Metro Station, exit onto Ermou Street and head northeast. Turn right onto Apostolou Pavlou Street, which will take you towards the entrance of the National Observatory of Athens. As you walk, enjoy the views of the Acropolis on your left. Continue until you reach the entrance at Λόφος Νυμφών, Athina 118 10.

  • Bus

    From Omonia Square, find the bus stop for bus number 049. Board the bus and travel towards 'Kifisia'. Get off at the 'Thissio' bus stop. From there, you can walk approximately 1 km to the National Observatory of Athens by heading northeast on Apostolou Pavlou Street, which leads you directly to the entrance.
