Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From Heraklion, take the KTEL bus to Agios Nikolaos (approximately 1.5 hours). Upon arriving at Agios Nikolaos, transfer to a local bus heading towards Elounda. Once in Elounda, look for the bus that goes to Plaka, which is a small village nearby. The bus ride from Elounda to Plaka takes about 20 minutes. From Plaka, you can walk towards Trypiti beach, which is approximately a 30-minute walk along the coastline.

  • Walking

    If you're already in Plaka, head south towards the waterfront and follow the path along the coast. The walk to Trypiti beach is scenic and takes around 30 minutes. Keep the sea on your left and follow the rocky coastline. There will be signs pointing towards Trypiti beach, so keep an eye out for those as you walk.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer not to walk, you can take a taxi from Agios Nikolaos or Elounda directly to Trypiti beach. Taxis are readily available at these locations and can take you directly to the beach in about 15-20 minutes from either Agios Nikolaos or Elounda, depending on traffic.
