Getting There

  • Train

    From Vac, walk to the Vac train station, which is located in the city center. Once there, take a train towards Budapest. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Disembark at the 'Batthyány tér' station in Budapest, which is the closest station to the Garden of Philosophers. From Batthyány tér, exit the station and walk towards the Danube River. Turn left and follow the riverbank until you reach the 'Margaret Bridge'. Cross the bridge and continue walking straight. The Garden of Philosophers will be on your left, just a short walk from the bridge.

  • Bus

    From Vac, head to the local bus station. Take the bus that goes to Budapest, which should be clearly marked. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive at the Budapest bus terminal (the main one is often 'Népliget'), look for the metro signs and take the M3 (blue line) metro towards 'Újpest-Központ'. Transfer at 'Deák Ferenc tér' to the M2 (red line) metro towards 'Déli Pályaudvar'. Get off at 'Déli Pályaudvar' and exit the station. From there, it's a short walk to the Garden of Philosophers, heading towards the 'Buda Castle'. Follow the signs towards the castle, and you will see the Garden of Philosophers nearby.
