Walking
Start at the center of Grindavik, near the tourist information center. Head south on the main road, Þjóðvegur 43, following the signs that direct you towards Seltún and the Reykjanes Peninsula. Continue walking for about 4 kilometers (approximately 50 minutes), enjoying the scenic views of the landscape. You will pass by the Blue Lagoon on your right, which is a popular landmark. Keep walking straight until you reach a junction where you will see signs for Seltún. Turn left at the junction and continue for another 1.5 kilometers (about 20 minutes), until you reach the Seltún Geothermal Area. The area is well marked, and you will start to see steam rising from the geothermal features as you approach.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle from Grindavik to Seltún Geothermal Area. Start at the center of Grindavik and take Þjóðvegur 43 south. The bike ride is roughly 5.5 kilometers (approximately 20-30 minutes) depending on your pace. You will ride past the Blue Lagoon, which you can stop to visit if you wish. Keep an eye out for the signs for Seltún and turn left at the junction when you see them. Continue cycling for about 1.5 kilometers until you arrive at the geothermal area.
