Begin your journey at the Hafnarfjörður Bus Station (Hafnarfjarðarbær). From there, take Bus number 42 heading towards Garðabær. You will ride for about 30 minutes. Disembark at the stop called 'Víðistaðatún'. Once you get off, walk towards the main road (Road 42) and continue on foot. You will see signs for Gígvatnsvatn (Green Lake) as you approach. The lake is located approximately 1 km from the bus stop, following the path along the road.

If you are in the center of Hafnarfjörður, you can walk to Gígvatnsvatn. Start from the town square (Hafnarfjarðar Torg) and head towards the main road (Road 42). Walk along the road for about 2 km until you reach the lake. Enjoy the scenic views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path can be uneven in places.
