If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto Route 1 (the Ring Road) from your current location in the Western Region. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the junction with Route 36. Take the exit onto Route 36 towards Thingvellir National Park. Continue on Route 36 for approximately 20 kilometers (about 12 miles). You will see signs for Thingvellir National Park. Follow the signs, and soon you will arrive at the Visitor Center located at Þingvellir, 806 Bláskógabyggð. Please note that there may be a parking fee at the Visitor Center, so be prepared for any additional costs.
