  • Walking

    From the Þingvellir National Park Visitor Center, head south on the main path. Follow the signs towards Öxarárfoss, which is a popular waterfall in the park. After approximately 1 kilometer, you'll reach a fork in the path. Take the left path that leads towards the Drekkingarhylur area. Continue along the path for another 500 meters, and you will soon arrive at Drekkingarhylur, which is marked by scenic views and a small waterfall.

    If you are driving, park your car at the Þingvellir National Park parking area, which may charge a fee (around 500 ISK for parking). From the parking area, walk towards the visitor center and then follow the walking path towards Öxarárfoss. After about 1 kilometer, keep an eye out for the left path that leads to Drekkingarhylur, approximately 500 meters ahead.
