Elaborate polished walnut woodwork, massive carved pocket doors, original wood mantles, and a solid walnut staircase showcase the craftsmanship of a bygone era. The main floor is particularly elaborate, with hand-rubbed black walnut and oak finishes, and each room features an ornately carved fireplace. The mansion also features deeply recessed windows with interior shutters and a magnificent staircase with hand-carved octagonal spindles.Today, the Jacob Henry Mansion is a popular venue for weddings, banquets, and special events. The estate includes the Old Central Church, a charming non-denominational church perfect for ceremonies, as well as the Victorian Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 300 guests.
