From Lincoln Home National Historic Site, head north on 8th Street towards East Capitol Avenue. Turn left onto East Capitol Avenue and continue for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with South 6th Street. Turn right onto South 6th Street and continue approximately 2 miles. Merge onto I-55 S towards Memphis and drive for about 4 miles. Take exit 92A for Clear Lake Ave and merge onto Clear Lake Ave. After about 1 mile, turn left onto South Airport Drive. The Air Combat Museum will be on your right at 835 S Airport Dr, Springfield, IL 62707.

From Lincoln Home National Historic Site, walk to the nearest bus stop located at 9th Street and Capitol Avenue. Take the Sangamon Mass Transit District (SMTD) bus route 12 (Clear Lake) heading towards the South East High School. Stay on the bus for around 30 minutes (approximately 12 stops). Get off at the stop on Clear Lake Ave at South Airport Drive. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk (0.5 miles) to the Air Combat Museum located at 835 S Airport Dr, Springfield, IL 62707.
