From Lincoln Home National Historic Site, head east on E Adams St toward S 8th St. Continue straight to stay on E Adams St for about 1 mile. Turn right onto S 11th St and continue for another mile. Merge onto I-55 N toward Chicago. After approximately 3 miles, take exit 92A for Stevenson Dr and merge onto Stevenson Dr. Continue for about 1.5 miles, then turn right onto E Lake Shore Dr. Henson Robinson Zoo will be on your left at 1100 E Lake Shore Dr, Springfield, IL 62712. Parking is available on-site.

From Lincoln Home National Historic Site, walk to the nearest bus stop on S 8th St. Take the Sangamon Mass Transit District bus Route 21 (Glenwood) towards Glenwood. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop near E Lake Shore Dr and follow the signs to Henson Robinson Zoo. The zoo is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
