    From anywhere in Northern Illinois, make your way to Interstate 55 South. This major highway runs through several cities in the region, including Chicago, Joliet, and Bloomington. If you're starting from Chicago, take I-55 South towards Springfield. After approximately 200 miles, take exit 92A on the left to merge onto Clear Lake Ave. Continue on Clear Lake Ave for about 1 mile, then turn left onto S 5th St. The Illinois Route 66 Scenic Byway Visitor Center will be on your right at 1045 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703.
