Getting There

• Walking

  From the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, exit the visitor center and head south on 8th Street. Continue walking straight for about four blocks until you reach the intersection with South 2nd Street. Turn left onto South 2nd Street. The Lincoln Statue will be on your right at the corner of South 2nd Street and East Monroe Street. The distance is approximately 0.5 miles, which should take around 10-15 minutes to walk.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer to use public transportation, you can catch the Route 1 bus from the nearest bus stop at 8th Street and East Cook Street, which is just a block away from the Lincoln Home National Historic Site. Take the bus heading south and disembark at the stop on South 2nd Street near East Monroe Street. The Lincoln Statue is just a short walk from the bus stop. The bus fare is typically around $1.50.

• Driving

  If you are driving, exit the Lincoln Home National Historic Site parking lot and head south on 8th Street. After about four blocks, turn left onto East Monroe Street. Then, take another left onto South 2nd Street. The Lincoln Statue will be on your right. There is street parking available nearby, but be mindful of any parking signs. Parking may incur a small fee depending on the area.
