The Lincoln Memorial Garden is located southeast of Springfield. From I-55, take exit 88 (Chatham/East Lake Drive) and head east for 2.5 miles on East Lake Shore Drive. Alternatively, take exit 94 (Stevenson Drive/East Lake Drive) and follow East Lake Shore Drive for six miles. Free parking is available at the main entrance, with overflow parking across the road.

From the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, walk to E Adams St and take Sangamon Mass Transit District (SMTD) Bus 13 or 14. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off near E Lake Shore Dr and E Clear Lake Ave. Walk east along E Lake Shore Dr for 10 minutes to reach the garden. A one-way bus fare is approximately $2.
