Start at the central square of Assisi, Piazza del Comune. From the square, head southeast on Via Giuseppe Mazzini. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Via San Francesco. Turn left onto Via San Francesco and walk until you reach the Basilica di San Francesco. From the basilica, you will need to walk towards the edge of the town. Follow the signs towards the 'Parco del Subasio'. This will lead you to a walking path that guides you out of Assisi. Keep walking until you reach the main road, SP444. Turn right and continue straight for approximately 3 kilometers. You will eventually see signs for the Chiesa della Madonna della Selva Mattutina (Selvetta) on your left.
