Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from La Thuile, head northeast on SS26 towards Courmayeur. The drive is approximately 30 minutes, covering about 28 km. Follow the SS26, and take a left onto the SP21 towards Val Vény. Continue on SP21 for about 8 km until you reach the sanctuary, which is located at Località Val Vény, 11013 Courmayeur AO. There is parking available near the sanctuary, but be aware that during peak tourist season, parking may incur a fee.

• Public Transportation

  From La Thuile, take the local bus service (check the schedule for the latest times) towards Courmayeur. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Courmayeur bus station, you will need to transfer to another bus heading to Val Vény. This will take another 15-20 minutes. Ensure to check the bus timings, as the frequency may vary. The nearest bus stop to the sanctuary is a short walk from the bus stop in Val Vény. There may be a small fare for both segments of your journey, so have some cash ready.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to hike, you can walk from Courmayeur to the sanctuary. Starting from the center of Courmayeur, head towards the Val Vény trail. This hike is approximately 9 km and will take about 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on your pace. The trail is well-marked, but make sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water. This option is free, but it requires a good level of fitness.
