Walking
From the historic center of Matera (Piazza Vittorio Veneto), walk southeast on Via del Corso. Continue straight until you reach Piazza San Francesco, then turn left onto Via San Francesco. Walk until you see the church of San Francesco d'Assisi. Continue straight past the church onto Via delle Beccherie, a narrow street that leads directly to the Belvedere di Piazza Giovanni Pascoli. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes.

From Matera Train Station, you can walk to Piazzetta Pascoli in about 15 minutes. Alternatively, take a local bus that stops near the city center. Bus tickets cost around €1.50. Miccolis s.p.a. manages the public transport system in Matera. A single ticket costs €0.80, or €1.50 if purchased on board.

From the A14 or SS7 highways, follow signs for 'Centro' or 'Piazzetta Pascoli'. Limited parking is available near the observation deck. Expect to pay around €0.70-€1 per hour for parking in the blue stalls. You can pay at the columns or via the Telepass Pay X or Easy Park smartphone apps. Alternatively, large parking areas are located near the Matera station.
