From the Casa Grotta di Vico Solitario, head southeast on Vico Solitario towards Via Bruno Buozzi. Continue straight on Via Bruno Buozzi until you reach the Piazza San Pietro Caveoso. Once at the piazza, you will see the viewpoint of the Sassi on your left. From there, take Via Casalnuovo heading northeast, which will lead you through charming streets of Sassi. Keep following the indications towards Belvedere di Piazza Giovanni Pascoli. After a short walk, you will arrive at the observation deck, where you can enjoy stunning views.

If you are starting from the Cathedral of Matera (Cattedrale di Matera), exit the cathedral and walk down Via Duomo. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Fiorentini. Take a left on Via Fiorentini and follow it until you reach the Piazza San Pietro Caveoso. From there, continue as previously described, heading towards Belvedere di Piazza Giovanni Pascoli by taking Via Casalnuovo.
