    If you're driving from Aomori City, take the Tōhoku Expressway towards Hachinohe. Exit at the Nakatsugaru IC and follow Route 7 heading towards Nishimeya. Continue on Route 7 for about 20 km until you reach Nishimeya. Look for signs directing you to Shirakami Sanchi Visitor Center, located at Kanda-61-1 Tashiro, Nishimeya, Nakatsugaru District, Aomori 036-1411. There is parking available at the visitor center.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Shirakami Sanchi Visitor Center via public transport, take a train from Aomori Station to Hirosaki Station. From Hirosaki Station, transfer to the Konan Railway and ride to Nishimeya Tashiro Station. The train journey will take approximately 1.5 hours. Upon arrival at Nishimeya Tashiro Station, you can take a taxi to the visitor center, which is about a 15-minute ride away. Taxi fares will be around ¥2,000-¥3,000 depending on traffic.

    Alternatively, from Aomori City, you can take a bus to Hirosaki Station. Once at Hirosaki, take a local bus towards Nishimeya. After reaching the nearest bus stop to the visitor center, you can either walk (if you are up for a hike) or take a taxi for the last leg of the journey, which will cost around ¥1,500. It is advisable to check the bus schedules ahead of time as they may vary.
