Getting There

Car
If you are driving, head towards Route 1 from your location in Hakone. Follow the signs for Hakone-Machi and continue on Route 1 until you reach the junction for Route 732. Turn onto Route 732, and you will find signs directing you to Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. The park entrance is located in Motohakone, which is about a 20-minute drive from Hakone-Machi.

Public Transportation
To reach Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park using public transportation, start at Hakone-Yumoto Station. Take the Hakone Tozan Railway to Gora Station. At Gora Station, transfer to the Hakone Tozan Cable Car and ride it to Sounzan Station. From Sounzan, board the Hakone Ropeway towards Togendai. Alight at Togendai Station and then take the bus to Motohakone. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours, and you will arrive at the park entrance, which is well-signposted.
