Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Head south on Route 1 for approximately 2 kilometers. You will see signs for Sōun-ji along the way. Turn left onto Yumoto and continue for about 300 meters. The temple will be on your right at 405 Yumoto. There is limited parking available near the temple, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation
To reach Sōun-ji via public transportation, begin at Hakone-Yumoto Station. From the station, take the Hakone Tozan Bus (Line H) heading towards 'Yumoto Onsen.' The ride will take about 5 minutes. Get off at the 'Yumoto Onsen' bus stop. From there, Sōun-ji is a short 5-minute walk. Head east along Yumoto Street and you will see the temple on your left at 405 Yumoto. The bus fare is approximately 200 yen.
Walking
If you are already in the Yumoto area, Sōun-ji is easily accessible by walking. From Hakone-Yumoto Station, walk south along Yumoto Street for about 15 minutes. You will pass various shops and restaurants. Continue until you reach 405 Yumoto, where Sōun-ji is located on your right. This route is scenic and allows you to enjoy the local atmosphere.
