If you are traveling by car, start from any central location in Hitachi and get on the Joban Expressway (E6). Follow the signs for Tokyo and drive towards the capital. After approximately 100 km, take exit 12A towards Kasumigaseki. Continue straight, following the signs for Chiyoda, and you will arrive at Hirakawa-mon Gate located at 1 Chiyoda, Chiyoda City, Tokyo. Be prepared for potential toll fees on the expressway, which may cost around ¥1,500 to ¥2,500 depending on your entry point.

Public Transportation (Train)
For public transportation, head to Hitachi Station and take the JR Joban Line train towards Ueno Station. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Ueno Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and travel to Akasaka-mitsuke Station. From Akasaka-mitsuke, it's about a 15-minute walk to Hirakawa-mon Gate. You can expect to pay around ¥1,500 for the train tickets.

You can take a highway bus from Hitachi to Tokyo Station. Once you arrive at Tokyo Station, take the Marunouchi Line subway to Otemachi Station. From there, follow the signs to exit B5 and walk towards Hirakawa-mon Gate, which is about a 20-minute walk. The bus fare will be around ¥2,000, and the subway fare will be approximately ¥200.
