If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Hitachi and head south on Route 6 (also known as the Joban Expressway). After approximately 100 km, take the exit toward Ueno and follow the signs for Uenokoen. The National Museum of Nature and Science will be on your right at 7-20 Uenokoen, Taito City, Tokyo. Parking is available nearby but may incur a parking fee, typically around ¥500-¥1000 for a few hours.

For those using public transportation, start at Hitachi Station. Take the Joban Line train towards Ueno. This trip takes about 1 hour and costs approximately ¥1400. Once you arrive at Ueno Station, follow the signs to the exit for Ueno Park. The museum is located within walking distance in Ueno Park. It will take around 10-15 minutes to walk to the museum from the station.

You can also take a bus from Hitachi to Ueno. Look for a service that goes directly to Ueno Station. The journey will take around 1.5 hours and costs approximately ¥1500. Upon arriving at Ueno Station, exit towards Ueno Park and walk about 10-15 minutes to reach the National Museum of Nature and Science.
